Coala Solutions Privacy Statement

1. General

Coala Solutions AB manufactures the Coala Heart Monitor, a medical system for recording ECG and heart sounds. The results are shown to the user in the Coala App.

This Privacy Statement explains how we process personal data, meaning any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person, such as a name, an address or a personal identity number.

We process personal data about:

• users of our products and services
• healthcare provider staff, such as administrators and caregivers
• visitors to our website and newsletter subscribers
• our business contacts

2. Who is responsible for your personal data?

If you use the Coala as a consumer, Coala Solutions is the data controller. This also applies when you visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter or for the other purposes described in section 3.

If a healthcare provider has prescribed the Coala to you, the healthcare provider is the data controller and Coala Solutions is the data processor. We process your data only on the healthcare provider’s behalf, under a data processing agreement.

3. Which personal data do we process, and why?

3.1 General purposes

We may process personal data for:

• maintenance, administration and IT security
• internal control and business operations
• establishing, exercising and defending our legal rights
• complying with legal obligations and requests from authorities

3.2 Your Coala App account

Purpose: To create your user account and verify your identity.

Personal data: Name, email address, personal identity number and address.

Legal basis:

• As a consumer: The processing is necessary to fulfil our agreement with you. Without this data, you cannot use the Coala App.
• Through a healthcare provider: We receive your data from the healthcare provider, which determines the legal basis for the processing as data controller.
