What can the Coala detect – and what can’t it?

What the Coala can detect
The Coala can detect common types of irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmias), such as atrial fibrillation. It can also tell them apart from common extra heartbeats.

What the Coala cannot detect

• Heart attacks. If you have chest pain, call 112 immediately.
• Other heart conditions, such as heart failure or heart valve disease.
• What happens between your recordings. The Coala only analyzes the recordings you take; it does not monitor your heart continuously.

The Coala does not make a diagnosis. A normal result does not rule out heart disease, so if you have symptoms or feel worried, contact your healthcare provider.
