What is Coala Heart Monitor?

The Coala Heart Monitor is an ECG device for home use that can indicate a possible irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia), such as atrial fibrillation.

The system consists of:

- The Coala device: a wireless monitor that records your ECG.

- The app: for your smartphone, where you view and save your results.

- The charging station: keeps your Coala charged and ready to use.

How to take a recording

A recording takes about one minute, and the app guides you through each step:

1. Hold the Coala against your chest for 30 seconds.

2. Hold the Coala with both thumbs for 30 seconds.

A few seconds later, the result is shown in the app.

How does the analysis work?

The Coala analyzes two things in your ECG: how regularly your heart beats (R-R variability) and the heart’s electrical signal before each beat (the P wave). Together, they give a more reliable picture of your heart rhythm.

Please note: The Coala does not make a diagnosis. It gives an indication of a possible irregular heart rhythm. If you get an abnormal result or feel worried, contact your healthcare provider.
